Do I have to buy a full pallet of panels? Can I buy a small quantity for what I need and how much would the panels cost?
Yes, we can supply small quantities and mixed panel sized orders. Please email us with your requirement and we can advise of any additional charge to cover handling costs and inefficiencies of freight for what is a bulky, heavy product.Generally we have a flat rate of around $75 plus GST per order to supply part pallet quantities.
Can I drop in to your warehouse in a major centre such as Perth, Melb, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide etc and buy off the shelf what I need?
Brush Fencing is a small niche market in Australia and the materials are heavy, bulky and hard to handle. It is not viable for us to maintain a warehouse in each city and we ship all orders to your door to pretty much anywhere in Australia from Perth and Adelaide. Orders can also be collected locally from our carrier’s (Mainfreight) depots right around Australia. Our internet listed pricing for the major centres includes freight to your door if you have a means to unload (forklift) or pickup from Mainfreight depot.
How hard is it to install DIY a brush fence using Ausbrush panels? Can my partner do it?
Generally it is not difficult for the average handy-person or general contractor following the video instructions on our website here. The panels are quite forgiving to errors made in fitting, as they are comprised of easily repairable and adjustable wire and brush. The panels are difficult to handle though as they are bulky and heavy and need two strong people to install for most panel sizes ranging in weight from 74kg and more, using the ‘inline install’ method. The small 37kg 1700x1100mm panels do provide for a one person install using the ‘offset method’.
Why are the listed panel prices different in each major city.
Brushwood panels are made from the dense native hardwood species Melaleuca uncinata and are quiteheavy and bulky and hard to handle and ship. The price differentials in each city reflect the various freight costs to those centres from our factory located in rural WA and from our eastern seaboard distribution warehouse located in SA.
How long does it take to supply/deliver my order?
Delivery time to your locality:
Melbourne: overnight to depot and following day delivery out
Sydney: 3 to 4 working days, Brisbane & Gold Coast 4 working days
Cairns: 1 week
Perth: 1 week, Adelaide same day pickup
Darwin: 4 days
Canberra: 3 to 4 days
All other rural centres & locations 1 to 2 weeks. We can advise you better on that when we quote your order. We choose not to deliver to Tasmania because of their local bio security regulations and fumigation requirements and shipping costs.
Where does brush come from and is it environmentally sustainable?
Plantation grown Melaleuca uncinata is the Australian hardwood species used in our panels. It is traditional, durable and has a long fencing life spanning decades unlike the rubbish Chinese dwarf pine (softwood) screening products found in rolls on hardware store shelves. Sustainably grown plantation brush locks up carbon from the atmosphere for the life of the fence and does not need significant energy or chemicals to produce/coat unlike Colorbond steel and other plastic fencing products. Plantation grown, it is a wise fencing choice with environmental and climatic benefits as well as being a harmonious and natural garden accompaniment.
